DIY Solar Powered Water Quality Sensor

Every now and then while scrolling through tech blogs and DIY sensor projects, the Voltaic team is pleasantly surprised to see our solar panels highlighted as the main power source for the system. That is exactly what happened when we saw that Leif Percifeld has invented a Solar Powered Water Quality Sensor that uses the Voltaic 2W panel to keep it up and running. The kit was initially developed at Water Hackathon in NYC and uses an Arduino to send information about water purity back to the user via SMS text messages.

Check out his project to see how he assembled everything together and learn about what other components he used.
