With his Spark Solar Tablet Case always by his side, Matt is working to promote fishing and aquaculture in rural areas. Living off the grid in a grass-thatched mud hut, he relies on Voltaic panels and batteries to keep his essential electronics charged and ready to go. Matt writes:

The Spark has been a godsend these past few months. It’s rainy season right now in Zambia, which means I’m lucky to get a few hours of sunlight each day in between thunderstorms. So the Voltaic Spark’s 8 Watts of solar power and universal battery, designed to power iPads and other tablets, have been instrumental in keeping my headlamp and phone fully charged even in these sub-optimal sunlight conditions.

As a professional kayaker and amateur movie maker, he’ll be traveling on an expedition to the Uganda White Nile to film a new story hopefully to be aired on television and  at outdoor festivals.

 

Given Peter will be traveling to areas where electricity may be hard to find, we have given him a Spark iPad Solar Charger to help keep his iPad 3 charged up.
